First real life images of Rolls Royce Hyperion
Named for a Titan in Greek mythology, the Pininfarina-etched Hyperion is designed to evoke memories of cars from the 1930s with its long majestic bonnet, short rear overhang and low rooflines.

Based on the Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe, the changes needed to create the Hyperion include the removal of the rear seats and a shift in driving position, which is now 400mm further back in the Hyperion than in the Drophead.

Its a classy classic looking car. Most cars in this price range and class look like this. Maybe they dont look for cutting edge design in this class. Just pure elegance. Look at bentley's lineup minus the Continental GT. I personally like it.

And you say the SC is beautiful, especially in Pebble beach form.

I second that. Sperm whale it is.

Sorry but if I'm going to drop 500k on a car it'll be a Lambo or a Ferrari.

You think that this car is intended to compete with sports cars?! This car sells to a different buyer and user entirely. Or, are you just trolling?

What exactly is meant to be impressive about this design? Seriously, is this the best Pininfarina could do?

I think it's stunning. Better then the new E class that looks like a caddy that humped a honda and made an alien.

It better be better looking than the E class! for what will cost more than 8 times what the E costs.

As far as the looks, Rolls are masssssive and that creates a special presence. The huge wood tonneau and on the hood will look stunning from the road, from inside the car, and when looking out your 5th floor of your billion dollar house. Very nice, just not in baby blue please

"The Hyperion was designed for Rolls-Royce collector Roland Hall, who made specific requests for the cars appearance and utility " Looks like the client had a lot to do with the design.

What the hell is going on a Pinninfarina?

Oh by the way Toyota Solara convertible called and wants credit for the back end.

haha..so many mixed reactions. Just proves how objective styling really is. It also reinforces the issue that cars shouldn't be too seriously criticized for poor styling.

Beautiful car. Not my taste, but I am sure future owners from Monaco or St. Tropez will love it.

Yeah it's definitely an acquired taste but nevertheless I find it to be classically beautiful.

It may be a modern interpretation of an older design & is by no means ground-breaking, but it would truly be a one of a kind roadster on today's roads.

Bleh! The Bently convertible (Continental/Azure?) looks a lot better I think.

It looks better than the standard Rolls Drophead Coupe, but that isn't saying much.
