Flavio Manzoni, ex-designer of Volkswagen moves to Ferrari

To helm Ferrari’s designs is Flavio Manzoni, Walter de’ Silva’s right hand man and current director of creative design at Volkswagen Group.

He will be moving back to his home country to take up the post. Ferrari’s new styles will then be Manzoni’s responsibility.

He will report directly to the managing director, Amedeo Felisa. Of course, there is the question of what will happen to current Ferrari design director Donato Coco. There are rumors that he will go to Alfa Romeo. Manzoni will function in this capacity starting January next year. His first assignment is to create a true Ferrari style center and create a new brand identity, veering away from the image of Pininfarina.
