The Aussie Ford fan has certainly had a weekend worth remembering. Not only did Ford fill all three spots on the podium at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 but FPV used the “great race” as the launch platform for its new limited run GT Cobra.
With the new Orion Falcon not due to grace Ford dealer forecourts until sometime in early 2008 FPV are looking to keep sales bubbling along and one of the best ways to do that is with a limited edition. Rather cleverly, FPV have tapped the nostalgia vein and resurrected the iconic Cobra name. Given the outcome of this weekend’s race FPV’s timing couldn’t be more perfect.
