Former designer of BMW Z8 and Aston DB9 at it again? Exclusive info...
Agent 001 had the pleasure of spending Friday morning with one of his favorite all time car designers, Henrik Fisker.

If you're not familiar with the name then you will be familiar with his work.

He's most famous for designing the BMW Z8, Aston Martin DB9 and Vanquish.

He now has his own company (Fisker Coachbuild) and has re-done two cars we're all familiar with, the Mercedes SL and BMW 6-series.

His final creation turns these two already awesome cars into some very rare vehicles indeed (only 150 Tramontos made at a cost of $275G's each!).

Business has been brisk so Henrik accidentally let it leak to the Spies that they are considering adding a sedan to the mix.

001 put two and two together and his guess is a re-worked Mercedes-Benz S63 with the Fisker treatment that should come in just under $200k MSRP.

The Spies think there is a great opportunity there as we think cars like the Bentley Flying Spur and Maserati Quattroporte are nice but still miss the mark from an exterior design standpoint.

If you haven't seen Henrik's new vehicles in person, the pictures don't do them justice.

On the road they are absolutely stunning!

So what does the AutoSpies.com audience think?

Is there an opening for Henrik to steal some business from these brands?

I think he is a great designer, but Fisker is definetly out of his mind. People paying $275,000 for a Mercedes SL is rediculas.

$275,000 isn't alot to pay to transform a regular everyday sight into extreme rarity such as an Enzo or Murcielago...The SL & 6 are great cars, the only problem is they're everyday sites, I never give an SL a second look anymore, the design is timeless yet old & common.

As far as looks go the Fisker SL looks great, the Fisker 6 coupe looks great from front angles, but the rear is poorley executed...Worse than Van Hooydonk's work.

Either way another beautiful classic design from the classic designer.

It is truly unique. Right off the bat if you don't know your cars you'd think this is an entirely new design without the base off an SL or 6 series. Eitherway with it's modifications it transforms into great unique/rare designed cars with the pedigree of 2 already great vehicles. Superb!. I can't wait to see the sedans. I wonder how much they're going to cost if it's a Bentley or Maserati. Especially when you know the price tag of the cars STOCK is already that high, with the Frisker treatment it would be well in the 300-400's i'm guessing.

Those rims kind of ruin it. They look too aftermarket.

Otherwise, at a price this ridiculous, I'd just load up a GTC or DB9 and have myself a good time.

And then I'd have $50K on the side. Maybe I'd just put in that extra $35K and get a well-equipped Range Rover on the side.
