Thanks to our friends across the pond it seems that there is some breaking news coming to us about one of the Italian automakers. Leading into the 2014 Geneva Motor Show (#SIAG) it was noted that it would be bringing an all-new concept sports car.
Well, it appears that it's been leaked before it's big debut.
What makes this particular vehicle interesting is that no one really knows what it will be. Reports are speculating it could replace the GranTurismo or that it will be small and tiny to go up against the likes of the Porsche Cayman and Jaguar F-Type.
Considering there's been rumors swirling — for about a year — about the Alfa Romeo 4C and a to-be-released Maserati sharing the same platform, this could be the mid-engined Maserati folks have been waiting for.

...The Alfieri, seen here in leaked shots posted on an Italian forum, reportedly previews a production model which could go on to replace the Maserati Granturismo. The concept's name refers to Alfieri Maserati, one of the brothers who founded the company.
The reduced size of this concept means it will be very different to the current Granturismo, which is a rival for the Jaguar XKR, with reports suggesting the new car will offer a smaller, lighter alternative to the Porsche 911...
