General Motors would need to power almost all new models with gasoline-electric hybrid systems to meet the most restrictive fuel economy standards proposed by U.
S. lawmakers, Vice Chairman Robert Lutz said.
He said that they don't know how to get there without spending extra $6,000 or $7,000 per car.
