I hope it is. Opel has some nice designs out and the new Aura coming up will be hot like its cousin I'm sure

Lemonade, the Astra has been out in Europe since around 2004. The US (Saturn) version only launched earlier this year

Interesting question - This is the Opel Astra - and while the current Saturn Astra is based off of the current Opel Astra, I wonder if there might be the possibility the next gen Astra might not be a direct carryover from Opel. I'm just speculating because it could be, but since the Saturn Aura is not a direct rebadge of the Vectra (and the next Aura won't be a direct rebadge of the new Insignia), there is the slight possibility the Astra won't be either.

Generally speaking, European models are a lot more expensive to be sold as is at the price point GM wants to sell them at in the US market. There's the chance GM will redesign a cheaper car based off of this Astra to be sold in the US. That's part of the reason why VW will likely design and produce its own Passat and Jetta versions in the US in the future, and why the current Ford Focus was not sold here by Ford.
