I hooked up my accelerator to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

GMC Acadia: The next best-seller for GM
The GMC Acadia definitely makes us do a double-take when we see it on the road. Well, GM is expecting the Acadia to be the best-seller among the three new crossovers that it builds at its Lansing, Michigan plant.

In May, GM sold 28,254 Acadias as compared to 12,694 Saturn Outlooks and 1,905 Buick Enclaves. The 2007 GMC Acadia, Saturn Outlook and the 2008 Buick Enclave share GM’s new front-drive Lambda architecture.

The 2007 GMC Acadia starts at an MSRP of...

I know its still a bother to have to go to the shop even IF it's covered under a warranty but you know GM has the best warranty out there, right? Unless you're pushing your cars past 100,000 miles or 7 years you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Long warranties don't make a car more reliable. Besides, Kia, Hyundai and Isuzu have had long powertrain warranties long before GM.

i agree warranty isnt everything, mostly (IMHO)it would mean that the car could break at any moment during this period of time.
anyways, the acadia is fairly good and roomy. this improvement of the warranty from GM doesnt impress me, hyundai and Kia already adressed that more longer.

If GM REALLY wants to get serious about shaving costs, then GMC does NOT need to exist. This would sell just as well with a gold bowtie on it, along with the rest of the GMC line-up.

Speaking of this I've seen the Buick Enclave in person, and it is VERY nice! The new t.v. ad campaigns remind me ALOT of Lexus commericals, which is never a bad target to aim for.

When comparing the Enclave to the Acadia, one must understand that the Enclave is supposed to be the luxe one of the two. I found the Acadia's interior very generic, nice and felt good, but its design was very generic. The Enclave's interior has a very nice layout, and I personally liked the turned crescent shape of the center console. The gauges and most of the dashboard actually reminded me of an expensive Audi A8. The exterior is wierd at first glance, but eye-catching at least...I do realize that the front-end of the Enclave looks like it came off a Lexus SC, so I guess the Acadia clearly does have the upper-hand exterior-wise.

Well i have to say that the new GMC Acadia and its twin are very nice looking . A special mention here for the Ford Edge too .
They are emminently good looking and frankly kill
1) Toyota HighLander 2) Honda Pilot in looks ..

Ofcourse if they compete with Acrua MDX, Lexus RX330/ GX 430 , Infiniti FX35/45 on price then its little more up in the air.

I was surprised with the MKX it looks really good but kinda fat! It was in black with a tan interior. The edge is selling really good here. They just released the escape too. I love all the new ford designs...except focus..

Well GM and the other 2 of the Big 3 still have to over come the reliability issues. Honestly they have improved greatly and for the last 5 years GM has made great strides towards reliability (thus 7yr/100K warranty was created to instill buyer confidence). Design and improved interiors show this. Every make has issues and in my area I see more Hondas and Toyotas on the side of the road then 10 years ago. Not all old but most and one reason people think US cars suck is because they would see old American built autos on the side of roads and vehicles built in 70 and 80s were crap.

Of course the Big 3 had other issues but that is nearly a thing of the past, will take awhile if they keep improving. They are finally learning a thing or two from the Japanese and Germans. Big 3 are finally able to put more money into development through reorg with UAW that foreighn automakers do not have to worry about.

Not hard to see why this thing is selling, but it does need a V8 option. I thought I liked the Saturn better, but the grille on the GMC is better looking.

Umm.. My Ford F-150 with 25k on it has never went into the shop for any kind of work other than oil changes. MY Friends Camery with 27k on it has eaten its front tires, needs new brakes all around. His father inlaws Tundra just blew its trans out at 76k and left him in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night.. But on same note another friend blew his F150 trans with 18k on it.. so who is better.. well if you read up on this stuff.. all cars today are better than the best 10 years ago.. throw the dice and see what you get.. one jerk on the cell phone and it wont matter how long your car suppose to last.. because he will total it for you
