I hooked up my accelerator to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

Gemballa 600 GT2 EVO based on the Porsche 911 GT, 0-60 in 3.5
Gemballa can’t seem to get enough of Porsche 911. Today the tuning house announced their latest creation based on the Porsche 911 GT2 called the Gemballa Avalanche 600 GT2 EVO.

Along with an aggressive sporty body conversion kit Gemballa added its power kit that boosts power to 600-hp along with a peak torque of 620 lb-ft. Rest to 60 comes in at 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 199mph. The 0-60 sprint can be enhanced by fitting the sport shifter for vehicles with a manual gearshift, reduced gear lever travel, available in the “Sport” and “Race” versions.

Performance is further improved with Gemballa’s variable ride height coilover suspension and a powerful braking system.

Its kinda funny how many tuners I have been seeing for Porches, after all the GT-R tuner speculation.

Gemballa has been around for a while, and RUF, while not exactly a tuner, has been around for even longer. These tuned versions have been produced since before the GT-R existed.

Yes I know its just that there was so much speculation as to what was going to be done to the GT-R that would further embarrass the turbo. I just found it ironic that there are so many Porsche tuners.

Gemballa was making the Avalanche 20 years ago. I don't know what the big deal is with the short shifter when the DPK is right around the corner.

The interesting thing is that the real issue now is simply traction: this car is basically able to get much faster 0-100 km/h times if there can be better tyres or superior launch technique/traction control.

More power? Always welcome, but won't do that much more for standing starts except scalp the tyres faster.
