General Motors Names Bob Lutz As Chairman Of Opel

Bob Lutz General Motors top marketing boss, will chair the supervisory board of GM's Opel unit and help steer a restructuring plan there now that GM has decided to retain control of the European automaker, a source close to GM told Automotive News today.



Lutz, 77, will not take a direct management role in Opel, the source said. The supervisory board meets three or four times a year.

Lutz already is a member of the Opel supervisory board. It is unclear when he will become chairman, the source said.

The New Regal looks more like a rebadged C-segment Cruze than a D-segment Malibu to me.

Then again the Malibu was always on the smaller side for a D segment car. Its noticeably smaller than Optima or Accord. Malibu is about the size of an Elantra actually.

Then again, the Elantra is the size of a small D segment car.

Yes i have to agree with you Tango. bob brought in the sky/Solstice G8, G6/Malibu and he's pretty much thte face of the CTS-V right now. He should do a great job in Europe with Opel.

Yes, the Sky/Solstice are perfect examples of crappy designs. Without a doubt, the worst convertible top design out there. All the parts bin parts made the duo overweight pigs. They met an early demise!
