We really wonder how big of a problem this could actually be but apparently, racy ads showing scantily-clad models are so distracting to Greek drivers that a lawyer has launched a campaign to have them banned.

If you want a regular "What the UK has Banned this Week", today British Board of Film Classification has banned the game Manhunt 2 for "unrelenting focus on stalking and brutal slaying".
It is the first game to be banned in 10 years since Carmageddon.
2 weeks ago we banned the new video for our Olymipic logo (2012...no I don't want them in London), as it caused epilepsy.

They should attach ads like this to traffic lights and have them come on when it turns red and then off again when it's green...just think of all those wasted minutes we spend at red lights. We might also get fewer people not paying attention when the light turns green.

Being Greek myself i can confirm that our accident rates are terrible. Ageing road network and absolutely no government strategies on road safety or drive-safe mentality have resulted to this. Hopefully things are changing slowly but steadily.
The report on the ad controversy is a bit misleading though.Let me just fill in that the main problem is that anyone can show up, put up a huge billboard wherever suits him thats it. No one takes it down, the authorities have done nothing about it for years and there is a very large number of these boards in almost every four-way crossroad. THe situation is at its worst in Poseidonos Avenue which runs along the seafront where tens of open-air nightclubs are situated. So imagine a typical summer Saturday night, thousands of drivers that had a few too many... and it does not take much for accidents such as the one the lawyer's kid was killed...

Lexusadmirer, I’m not Greek, but I studied history for a long time, I can tell you those "souvo eaters" did more to shape the world today by ten fold than any race did or ever will. Those "greasies" were the forefathers of all that we see today from medicine, maths, music, democracy, town planning, for heaven sake Pythagoras was talking about the square root of an adjacent angle in 400 BC.
As far as conquering the world goes, have you heard of a guy called Alexander the Great?
