Since that is basically an Impreza front bumper, I guess the current Impreza is a Genesis copy as well? Also add that Subaru didn't do this photoshop, so how is Subaru copying Hyundai? I'm really sure that Subaru will be using this design in 2012 when the Impreza will be getting ready for a full redesign again. This chop doesn't even have the grill shape that will be used in Subaru design. Stuff like this is why I don't check this site as much anymore. It's so much easier to just go to the sources instead of here being just a dump site (usually several days later after news breaks).— PPower (View Profile)

^^^HyundaiSmoke, smoking crak again I see? A photoshop can't be a ripoff. A design that doesn't exist is no more a ripoff of a future My Little Pony and a Morgan. BTW, that Genesis coupe is a Sema concept that doesn't really exist. So basically, a design that doesn't really exist can't be a ripoff of a "Concept Car".— Inline6 (View Profile)

Well I see a little of another typical rip-off from Toyota there, but at least They made a decent looking car out of it.We'll Just steal the body of an Impreza Hatch, and put the new Hyundai face on the Grille and call it a 2012 Accent Hatch. Just kidding. No, We'll fix them by just plain and simply Designing even better cars, with more people copying and trying to copy off of us.— HyundaiSmoke (View Profile)

I'd say the Subie looks more G37 than Genesis Coupe. The G-coupe looks like an updated and enlarged Tiburon basically. This has much lower lines and a more crisp styling. There are plenty of other look-alikes that were WAY to similar. How about Kia a few years back when they tried to make a SUV with a slotted grille that was very close to the Jeep trademarked 7 slots. Or how Kia's Forte Coupe looks like a twin of the current Civic. Or keep going to say that the Sonata looks very close to the last generation Honda Accord, tail and all.— Whelan (View Profile)

Did I Fuc-ing mention that the side profile of both cars, looks exactly alike?Wow, Im going for a record on here of deboosts just by telling the truth about new realities in the Auto Industry. I guess you cant simply tell the truth anymore up in here.Cars these days are like Computers, they become obsolete ASAP. So , to point out how the Auto business was 5-10 years ago is not the case Today. Decade Synopsis/Case ArgumentLets be real these Automakers dont exist anymore, and this just happened this decade:1. SAAB (That deal is going to fall through I know it, its not worth the Trouble for Koeniggsegg.)2. Hummer (That venture will fail in 2 years)3. Pontiac (Ended 10 years too late, though I guess the point was to go with a bang-G8, G6, Vibe)4. Oldsmobile (Way too overpriced to be a Entry Lux Make)5. Saturn (boy they squandered that one)6. Volvo (They are Screwed)7. Plymouth (They made $5500 Chinese Subcompacts look like Mercedes, and that was supposed to be their entry Level Luxury Brand LMAO)Industry Changes:1. Hybrids went from Being a Quirky Niche to a Neccessity to some people.2. Small Cars started to wane in importance in the beginning of the Decade, and didnt matter by the Middle of the Decade, and now they are important again.3. Uncertain Reccession Causing Gas Prices, that was preceeded by 20 years of Hyper-Underinflated gas prices.4. GM Went from being Urine (#1) to being Feces (#2) globally.5. Toyota became #1, but at a price. They squandered their reputation of reliablity and quality to chase money, and have gone down from 1st to 7th Place in reliablity (At this rate they will be in the Bottom 15 Rankings in 5-6 years). Lexus is still Number 1, but those Fanatical Koreans are closing in fast and hard.6. Speaking about The Koreans!!!! Well, Hyundai/KIA went from being laughing stocks to industry darlings with a big and bright future ahead. The Company made smart business decisions to: A. Make quality a selling point.B. Change Both Brands to just simply being econo makes to one making lower cost entry level Luxury Vehicles, and the Other Low Cost Performance machines.Resulting in: Reliablity rankings shooting up from the Bottom 15 to the top 4. Increased sales that Brought them from being 9th place Globally to 4th Globally today in size.7. Honda went from making great cars, with low prices. To making ostentatious monstrousities that are way overpriced. Their quality and Reliablity has also dropped, but the drop is not as noticable, or significant as Toyotas.I can go on and on. My Point, a lot has changed in the last 10 years. Its time to be open to car choice again. — HyundaiSmoke (View Profile)

a while back, an article in Autoweek took on this issue of styling copies.it pointed out that considering the lead times between design, prototyping, tooling, production, distribution, etc., it is IMPOSSIBLE for any company to "copy" a design from another company within less than 3-5 years. any and ALL similar design elements on competing cars seen afresh in the same model year or close to it are just COINCIDENCES. further, not even surprising coindcidences, as all stylists are EXPOSED TO THE SAME origianl INFLUENCES.that said, some companies (based on a certain politically divided peninsula, ahem) have been known to 'borrow' styling elements from other brands, after a few years. they've even borrowed from several different cars for a single model, putting together a hodge-podge of borrowed styling elements.— XYZZ (View Profile)
