I know of some heated seats that automatically switch off when the appropriate temperature is reached. I remember my old S500 had that feature. Maybe other manufacturers have that too, anybody know what I'm talking about?

I believe that infertility from heated seats is a temporary effect but it would be best if a medical doctor/car guy could confirm that on this site.

Hmmm... if EL34's dad had heated seats in his car, we all wouldn't be subjected to crap comments about cars, but then again.. his dad couldn't have afforded a car with heated seats anyway..

My Vdub has the type of gauge that is always on unless you turn it off. Which is what I like... except... my future kids won't

All you need is to have them on for a couple minutes to take the chill out of the leather - then turn them off! I dont like leaving them on too long, i get the feel I've got a load in my pants.

There are two kinds of seat heaters. Simple button operated heaters that just keep heating the seat. And then the Temperature controlled seat heaters in more upmarket cars that change the L-M-H settings Temp according to in car temp.
I'm assuming that this article refers to the non computer controlled type.
I guess this means that by the time you get to the back seat it'll be for a different reason.

just some medical fyi... this condition is temporary. and a male's body is designed to cope with temperature changes. a guy's scrotum will rise and lower to adjust the temperature of the testicles. taking a bath will cause the same symptoms for a short amount of time.
