Holy Hell, It's the new Lincoln MKS in Batman!!!!!
Well fan-boys, here's your very first shot of the new Ford D3-platformed luxury sedan for the brand that emancipated the slaves -- the 2009 Lincoln MKS -- caught on the set of the next Batman film, completely without any form of body armor or fascia obscura. Look at it like these shots taken by tipster and Jalopnik reader Jarrett are the Bruce Wayne to these spy shots from earlier this summer. As far as what we know, well, we already knew the MKS would be the first to receive the new twin-turbo, 3.5-liter V6 (with an expected top level of 380 horses) coming out from the engineering and development team of the Dearborn-based automaker, we weren't real certain we'd like the look. Well, from this angle you can color us pleasantly surprised.

Photos are on the link.

Um… I don’t know if you’re an anti Lincoln fan or don’t know much about Batman. The original TV series had Batman driving around in a supped up 1955 Lincoln Futura (concept). That’s right, Lincoln… and he didn’t quite make it to Florida. You might not like this information but they are the facts. The Batman would have liked it this way.

I can't imagine BMW is going to be too happy about Lincoln stealing their grill. Looks like it came straight off an X5.

Thats really not that bad. It would have been a hundred times better if it was an exact clone of the MKR concept but I guess this is a start. ...And oh yeah, that is our city of Chicago. I recognize the street and the plates are Illinois too... (the gotham ones are fake)

Looks like either a Hyundai or Infiniti in the back. That goofy grill takes cues from no one. They probably liked the vertical slats of the Maybach, but wanted to somehow incorporate that into the edgy Pontiac Sunfire look. Throw in some Acura TSX headlights and Wah-lah.

I like it. Its a real good update to the brand. It will be a good seller. I still want a V8 though. The tailights looks like a Quattroporte to me and even though I'm not in love with the grill I think that car is hot.

At least they found a design direction, finally. It's attractive, if not distinctive- far too many cues from other brands. Acura headlamps, XF side profile, watered-down Quattroporte taillamps. I don't usually say things like this, but it's hard to deny.

It isn't often that a production version (assuming this is the production version) of a car looks better than the concept, but the MKS does. I like it and I'll be interested to see what the twinforce engine does. This could very well be a nice car.
