I dig the aluminium-look door handles. The steering wheel reminds me of something that Audi would design, which is in itself not a bad thing. Excellent, in fact. But I'm a stickler for three-spoked wheels. The shifter however looks like it came from a Buick Regal. Not good. I would prefer a gated shifter. Those things seem to add a bit of class to the interior of every car that they grace. Can't wait for the diesel!

You actually care that much how a shifter LOOKS? Everyone else in the world seems to care more about how it feels, how it operates. Hold your judgement until you put your hands on it. Then, install an aftermarket knob if it still bothers you that much.

Nothing personal, but I don't know whether to take the many nitpicky comments on this site as those from overpaid perfectionists or those from whiny spoiled brats.

It's not the knob design, it's the fact that the shifter doesn't have any gates. No gates = boring. I see what he means, but I wouldn't care if I were buying an Accord.

I agree with him. Although, not on the manual transmissions. I like the gated (zig-zag) shifters for the automatic transmissions. Does anyone know if the new Accord has that by the way? And also, I think even though this Accord technically has a four stoke steering wheel, the design gives off the impression that it's a three spoke.

Gated shifter for a stick shift?? Okie.. granted it's a big dated and ugly looking boot and shift knob for the manual trans Accord, keep in mind most cars w/ gated shifters cost a lot of money, like a Lambo Gallardo.

Besides, I think it is a bit easier to shift w/ the restriction of a gated shifter for a stick shift.

It's also easier to drive if the car was on rails instead of on the open road...

Are you serious?

Looks like the next generation Honda Accord and I'm sure it's reliable as always and a little bit bigger, but I would never buy the 2 door version with so many other hot 2 door coupes on the market.

agreed - not much to like in the exterior. But the interior as as good as anything in its price range.

Not bad. I have trust in Honda, and I'm sure they'll have another winner. I find the front end very stylish, actually. Otherwise, I can't expect it to be sexy.

Yeah, but it's an Accord. I mean, have any Accords ever been sexy? They're nice looking, sure, but not sexy.

I love Honda, but guaranteed if this were a Toyota, it would be flamed by EVERYONE for simply being a BMW-impersonator.

I'm serious: this interior should really inspire BMW to step their game up with their interiors.

Ok, this forum is really digressing. The interior is not as nice as the Lexus or BMW and is not trying to be. In one of the pictures is a Toyota Camry, a.k.a its COMPETITION. Every thread cannot turn into a Lexus vs. BMW war.
That being said, i liked the last generation Accord Sedan and the next generation should hold on to the conservative look that tends to have a longer lifespan than the radically revolutionary designs. It should be a healthy competitor to the Camry as well as the new threats from Ford and surprisingly the Hyundai Sonata. It should be a nice car overall.
