Honda CR-Z lightweight sport car concept: A potential CRX replacement?
A potential CRX replacement will be on display as the concept 'CR-Z' - "a next-generation lightweight sports car equipped with Honda’s original gas-electric hybrid system which achieves both clean performance and a high level of torque." This concept had CRX written all over it from the trademark CRX profile to the oh-so-familiar glass rear end. Read Article

Yet another 'teaser'...

Honda, please stop being so friggin' arrogant and Pig-Headed and do the following:

1. Bring back the CR-X, and keep it simple by making it a shortened/hatchback version of the (very handsome) Civic coupe.

2. Stop jacking everyone around, and make the HS-C (or whatever) the next NS-X, or simply announce that there will be no replacement.

3. Give Acura a proper RWD platform and V-8 engine to build upon, so as to lend it some degree of credibility in the near-luxury/luxury marketplace.

I too hate teasers but what really gets my goat is the claim that ‘CR-Z’ stands for ‘Compact Renaissance Zero’— that's bullshit. Clearly it's a CR-Z because Z follows X after Y but the marketing people said you can't use Y because that might imply the car was dsigned only for generation Y.

I like the overall look but would consider it only as a second car and only if it has a conventional (not CVT) automatic transmisssion.
