HorsepowerFreaks BMW M3 Turbo 600rwhp (750bhp)
Our Record Breaking HPF 750 turbo kit is available (beginning March 2007) to the public that makes a staggering 750bhp (600rwhp @ 11psi). This kit provides a reliable and daily driveable 420bhp increase in power through the stock engine and stock exhaust. Our kit provides 3 times the power gain of most supercharger kits sold today. This kit comes pre-configured with two power settings. A pump gas (500rwhp - 625bhp @ 5.5psi) map is the basic setting designed to run on 91 octane fuel or better. A keyed race fuel switch is provided that when activated and race fuel (110 octane or better) is in the tank a heart pounding 750bhp is laid to the ground.

who wants 420 extra hp but does not want an aftermarket (louder) exhaust?

I for one.
All that added noise is not impressive to me and nor is it instrumental to performance. The boyracer types love their repugnantly overbearing exhaust tubes - little do they realize how it reveals how pathetically juvenile they appear. As far as performance, the bets example of know of how noise does not equal speed is the Audi Diesel sportscar program. These cars are the fastest cars on the track and they faintly even make a sound. Now that's impressive.

Hmm... The E46 M3 engine allready has a reputation for being relatively unreliable from the start. What is adding another 400 horsepower going to do to that?! You get about 17 miles of fun and POOF you're an M3 short!

A classic case of someone running their mouth about something they know nothing about. The early problems with the S54 had to do with faulty rod bearings (hence the recall) and absolutely nothing to due with the thickness of the cylinder wall. People have successfully been supercharging the s54 for years with anywhere from 4 to 10 psi and it has proved to be an incredibley stout platform with proper tuning. This turbo kit is proving wrong all of the naysayers and there hasn't been a single example of a blown engine to date. Hey Sailor......perhaps you should go back to swabbin' decks instead of spreading bunk information on the internet?

No,TheSailor, the M3 engine is not unreliable, technically. Yes the engines were blowing up, but that was due to the 8,000 rpm redline. The same engines are in the MCoupe (the Z3 and Z4 based), but there redlines are 7,500 rpm, and they have no problems.

I thought the motors blowing had to do with the first allocation cars back when they first came out. I haven't heard of any problems since that day.
Make note everyone ;)

Yearh... But that doesn't change the fact that the engine is very thin walled (ask your local BMW-mechanic if you don't believe me, I have) in order to increase the displacement and the cooling. Had the engine had sufficiently thick walls, 8000 rpm should be no problem. And adding another 400 horses to the engine is definately not going to help resolving the issues! The reduction in redline is nothing but a bandaid on an inflamed wound! Not that the engine is an inflamed wound, it is an absolute masterpiece, but it does come with a serious built in flaw.

When is this madness going to end?
Is it fun driving a performance car, give it 1/3 throttle and the rear breaks loose - just to say you can out accelerate that arrogant neighbor's Ferrari down the street?
I guess HorsepowerFreaks, Inc. will continue to have all the business it can handle.
