Now that the real images of the BMW 7-Series have leaked out, it's pretty clear the inspiration for the car was the CS Concept that was unveiled in Shanghai.

For those of you who commented it was hard to tell in the photos what the next 7-Series will look like, we put the concept pics next to the spy photos so you can do the comparisons yourself by paging through the photos.

It's very easy to compare the similarities and the body lines.

You will then be able to approximate how the finished ubersedan will look like.

And to take it one step further, we have included all the rumored specifications the car will supposedly by launched with...

From our article on 11/23/07:

What WILL be radically different though from the current car is the interior dash layout and control center.

Look for the most sophisticated gadgetry, like night vision 3.0, more exterior cameras than cars should be allowed to have that will survey the perimeter plus secure the car and the most amazing radar cruise control on the planet.

We also hear they have teamed up with a 'Levinson-like' company to bring the next generation of audio/video amazement to the luxury set.

Rumors abound about a dual view nav screen (Source: MotorAuthority):

Blaupunkt has now unveiled its own version dubbed ‘Dual View,’ which it co-developed with its parent company, automotive parts supplier Bosch. The first production models are set to appear next year in vehicles from an unnamed European car maker and will utilize a screen measuring 8in across. The screen consists of a backlit LCD and a special mask placed over the liquid crystal layer. The images for the viewing angle from the right and the left are shown at the same time, but are specifically distributed on adjacent pixel columns. Depending on the viewing angle, the mask shows only those pixel columns that make up the right or the left picture, and in the process displays two separate images.

Most in-car entertainment systems are designed to stop any running programs when the vehicle is in motion and only display the image once the vehicle is stationary again. The new Blaupunkt system solves this problem, for the first time allowing passengers to watch uninterrupted film while the driver is free to concentrate on the road and use satellite navigation, which is legal in most countries.

The 7 will also finally get a panoramic roof option ala Mercedes S-Class and the interior material quality will make an Audi A8 look like a Chevy Cavalier.

Well, maybe not that much better but it will be the best in BMW history.

An all new suspension system is being readied and it is supposed to be even more amazing than what's on the market today.

More luxury amenities than humans should be allowed to have are in the mix AND...

The big surprises?

Besides a twin-turbo, 500hp starting base engine?

Will it be the most sophisticated sedan in the world and send the competitors reeling?

Based on what we are seeing and hearing, we are beginning to think so.
