Who said this Mini was a hybrid? "Hybrid Technologies" is the company that will produce the lithium battery for the car. It's in the title.

Hybrid just means a fusion of two unlike things, with unlike "cultures".

Fusing a normally petro powered mini to an electric battery is fusing two unlike things.

Theres a difference between a hybrid car and a hybrid engine.

It is not a hybrid car. It is an electric car. If it has only one engine is not a hybrid. The car can not use more than one form of combustible. Therefore is not hybrid, since u can call it on it's own name: electric.

you forgot about the EV1?

Toyota are in it for the profits. If there's no demand, Toyota wouldn't built any hybrid at all.
