Hyundai Motor America today announced sales of 24,765 for the month of September, a 25 percent decrease from September 2007 levels.

"As consumers tighten their spending due to the uncertain economic times we are experiencing, we are certainly feeling the pinch, as I am sure every other manufacturer is," said Dave Zuchowski, Hyundai Motor America's vice president of national sales. "While we are disappointed in September sales results, we believe it is consistent with that happened in the overall industry. But we feel Hyundai is well positioned to weather these difficult economic times with a full lineup of vehicles that offer some of the best value, fuel economy, safety and quality in the industry."
