Hyundai bringing Genesis to China and U.S. in April 2008
Hoping to attract the rich buyers in the world’s second largest auto market, Hyundai said today that it has plans to introduce a premium model in China in April of 2008.

While Hyundai has not release any pricing details on the model, Chinese media reports that it will cost around 400,000 yuan ($53,180). Hyundai aim is to sell 3,000 units of the “BH” model (Genesis) in China in 2008.

Yes, it's a Hyundai and it's also on my shopping list in case I don't get the 2008 Tribeca or 2008 CTS. I know they are all different types of cars but they are all candidates to replace my current A6 Quattro when its lease expires this coming spring. I am attracted to the Hyundai because it comes with a powerful and fuel- efficient DOHC V-8 and has RWD with LSD.

If Hyundai is going to enter the premium market they should create a premium brand like Volkswagen,Toyota,and Infiniti. I must admit though I do like the name Genesis because the name implies a new
beginning.

ES doesn't offer a V8 or RWD; I would take the Genesis...

The Avalon is a much better value than the ES. Both are Camry-based vehicles anyway.

I'm looking forward to this car..I liked the VW Phaeton and hope the Genesis does much better.
