Although the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe is offered with an optional V6, it's likely that the turbocharged 2.

0T version is destined to be the more popular choice. It's less expensive and lighter, plus it's got a happy spinny thing under the hood known as a turbo. And when it comes to tuning potential, a turbo is hard to beat.

We tested a bone stock Genesis Coupe 2.0T on MD Automotive's Dynojet chassis dyno located in Westminster, CA. Hyundai says its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder generates 210 hp and 223 lb-ft of torque at the flywheel, and like most factory ratings for turbo cars, those numbers are a bit on the conservative side.

Though I'm not quite sold on the exterior design of the G-Coupe, there's so much to like about the engineering/performance. I don't believe that Hyundai will have any trouble moving these babies. Good Job!

Oh no, now people will think your talking about an Infiniti. "G-Coupe" is most notible as the G37 Coupe and not the Genesis coupe.

Don't know about the tuning part because of the weak open deck design of the engine. But there are a few good open deck engine's like the VQ.

Um...there have been quite a few open deck designs that hold 300+whp stock. Every B16 through 18 as well as the H series as well. And the B series engines were smaller than this 2.0L which require a higher boost to hit those numbers.

Regardless its nothing a simple sleeve wont fix for those who really want to push the HP boundary.

Pretty good job Hyundai. BMW is in real trouble now. Hyundai is upping the competition with BMW. The tuner crowd is going to love this car, and forget about BMW. This thing basically has the EVO engine, and it has huge potential.

The 2GR-FSE is a good engine but totaly useless if you want to tune it!

It share almost nothing with the EVO and the its a open deck design unlike the semi-open of the evo.
