In an effort to expand its market share beyond the 2.75% forecasted for 2010, 10 new and revamped models will be launched in Europe within the next couple of years, according to Hyundai Europe vice president Alan Rushforth.

ACEA, the association of European automakers, said that Hyundai’s market share in Europe rose from 1.8% in 2008 to 2.6% in 2009, after selling 341.837 units. Hyundai Europe president Hang Chang Kyun confirmed that the ix35re, which will arrive in 2010, is the first to come out of the 10 new models and model derivatives. Both Rushforth and Kyun were in Fiuggi at the European launch of the new ix35, a medium SUV.
