Though we're preparing for the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, there's a great show going on this week in Las Vegas, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). And while you may retort that it's a technology show, you're right. But the keen observers would have noted that in recent years, automakers have been increasing their appearance.

If I recall correctly, last year Audi and Ford made a pretty significant apperance and as I type this I know for a fact Ford held a press conference earlier today for some new in-car technology.

This, of course, got me thinking.

What technology do YOU want to see in the next five years in your car?

A couple of examples I can foresee and have been discussed in recent months:

- An interactive windshield. THINK: A massive head's up display (HUD) that can display opaque information.

- Predictive directions that take into account the traffic flow, fuel efficiency, time and offers shortcuts.

- A mobile device that can run your car's infotainment system and also be unplugged for your on-the-go travel

- A voice command system that actually works. Imagine Apple's Siri controlling way MORE functions of your automobile.
