I hooked up my accelerator to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

Infiniti G37 to get all-wheel-drive
Customers and dealers have been begging Infiniti to add an all-wheel-drive G37 coupe to the lineup. According to InsideLine, the folks over at Nissan just might listen and a G37 coupe with all-wheel-drive may be just around the corner.

While Nissan hasn’t confirmed any timing as of yet, the current addition of an all-wheel-drive system on the new 2008 M4 and with the 2008 G35 getting the ‘X’ badge early next year, its only a matter of time the G37 hits the road with all-wheel-drive.

Looks bad from this angle. Why did they have to use the letter 'x'?

Only about 25 years late to the party. But I do hear favorable things about the Atessa AWD.

The G35 had the Atessa system on it when they first introduced the AWD version. It was just too heavy and underpowered, and they only offered it on the 4door with an auto, when they should have been putting it into the G35 coupe this whole time.

We can only hope that they'll offer the awd on the 6speed.

Infiniti did not exist 25 years ago. Just another way to take sales from BMW now that it will have AWD.

Now for God's sake, give it a manual transmission.

This boy racer already looks dated with those pseudo race lines.

Matches the 335i in rear-wheel configuration and now it will match the S5 in all-wheel configuration. Brilliant work Infiniti.

That would be just a few hundred pounds less than my 2000 QX4, save the low range gearing and gobs more HP of course.

I think the big deal with san is mating the awd with a manual trans. Has Nissan ever brought a manual awd to america? Maybe it has something to do with the clutch type center diff.

Either way it would be nice to see the 2wd/4wd console knob in an awd coupe. That being my fav feature on the dog of a pathfinder that I drive.

Seems a shame that a nice car like that has to be driven in the snow, nothing like dirty snow and ice pelting the side and under carriage, sounds like a grusome flick i just describe glad i live in the southwest.

You'd be surprised the cars people drive in the snow in upstate New York. All levels of Audi's and Mercedes 4matics that cost way more than this car.

Isn't the G37 based off the Altima which is based off the Sentra which is based off a riding lawnmower?

There is enough traction control in these luxury cars that it's not worth the extra money to get it in AWD. Heavier, less gas mileage, and slower, so why?

Maybe it's because I don't see snow, but honestly if there is ice, no AWD, traction control or anything will give you friction.

Black Ice is the only time it won't matter what you're driving, but heavier vehicles tend to fair better on it, so long as it's flat road.

White ice & snow is easy to drive on though...easier than driving through fresh snow, because it's already packed; so long as you have snow tires, it's pretty much the same as driving on a wet road.

Why use an "X"? Because BMW does? (since 1982)

"X" is what they used on the G35 to identify the car as having AWD.

BMW uses "XI" not "X", even though they look similar.

I think this car looks good. It may be a little over the top,but BMW beat it in 0-60 and 0-100 and the IS350 beats them both at 0-60 Road and track 4.9sec.Why is it still so slow with 330hp?

I didn't know that, to some people, "so slow" is 0-60mph in 5.0 seconds, but okay. What do you drive? A Honda Civic? Wow, real fire-breather.

BTW, IS350 did not "beat" 335i. The BMW's fastest time is 4.8 seconds.

It's still only a 0.2 sec difference (from the Infiniti), which is absolutely nothing.

0-60 is one thing, I personally care more about 0-100 or 0-124. However the real test is in gear acceleration, like going from 140 kmh to 220-240 kmh.

And that is where the 335i shines bigtime.

Britain misses out on these 4x4 saloons and coupes...BMW doesn't offer a single AWD model (bar X3/5), Mercedes offers no 4-Matics (bar R/GL/ML)...it's odd.
I suppose it's because the weather isn't bad enough in Britain (never thought I'd say that!)

It depends on the region. Northern U.S. you will find more AWD vehicles for Audi, Mercedes, BMW. Go down south or out west..not so much. It does snow up north during winter quite a bit. If a flake falls in a southern region practically the whole state shuts down. Our Audi A6 quattro can get through any storm..its really nice to have during winter.

Interesting style but it does seem too 'swoopie' on the front bumper and bottom skirts of the sides.

Doesn't make the car aggressive enough I don't think...it will probably grow on me
