Infiniti beefing up quality control by adding more female inspectors

This doesn't mean women can do a better job than men, in fact(all things being equal) men almost always do a much better job. But this is just more proof of what I've been saying all along. And that is women are running this country and any manufacturer who wants to market to rich women has to give their products some womens touch and plus the fact that 40% of americans have lost their minds. How else can we explain why Palin gets higher ratings than Obama when all she did was put out a stupid book on how she's a going roque while Obama is still trying to solve some of americas biggest problem ever?

I think they should hire more female designers too, especially those who designed new Z4. The new look is just not resolved both at front and rear.

maybe a female marketing team woudl do better as well.. since their marketing is pretty much non existant

Don't some major parts of the Viper manufacturing include only women? There's nothing wrong with that. I can't believe we even have to write long arguments on here. All I can say is that I find Infiniti's move to be a great advertising opportunity, especially in Japan where women are not as socially capable as as women in America. It's a cultural thing, so finger-pointing is unnecessary. Here in America, we have a problem with our taking every little conflict to court.

In most of our plants the inspectors are mostly female the story is not just a pt move it holds a great deal of truth the best quality people as we call them are females. Men minds tend to wonder when working more so then women's.

I think when it comes to automobiles, leave the women out of this. Men pay far more a attention to detail in cars, inside and out. We've been doing this for so long that we know exactly what to look for.

Interior house rooms...Now that's a different story.

Interesting...I find myself to be very detail oriented, especially when it comes to cars. I guess these women have to be passionate about cars to be detail oriented.

My last girlfriend thought the current IS looked just like an IS300...wtf

Wow. I knew this topic would invite some heated debate. My question is: If they are hiring females because they (supposedly) are more attentive to detail than men, is there some existing problem or concern with vehicle quality at the factory? Or, is this just a PR move on Nissan's part?

More importantly, as the article states that the factories will have these new laser measuring devices (presumably to measure quality, fit/finish in more "detail"), does hiring the women really make a difference? Chances are, the females will be paid less than the males (of course, I can't prove that).
