Carlos Tavares, CEO for Nissan product, expressed his hopes early in 2008 about expanding the Infiniti lineup to 10 or more nameplates within two years and conjectures of a new Q flagship sedan and super-sports car patterned on the platform of the GT-R quickly came out.

Rumors has it that the future lineup for Infiniti will consist of the latest versions of the M sedan, QX SUV, and a gasoline-electric hybrid version. It was revealed by John Capps, chairman of Infiniti’s National Dealer Advisory Board, that he is expecting the latest G37 Convertible in the succeeding months and he further confirmed the arrival of a hybrid model as early as next year.
