Inside info into the future of Nissan and Infiniti designs?
Where will we see the greatest areas of innovation in the next five or 10 years – in interior design or exterior?

I believe that the most innovative aspect of design in the next ten years will come in the area of "materials" – for both exteriors and interiors. Interiors need to shed the feeling of too much plastic. We need to find substitute materials that offer a feeling of richness. For the exteriors, the high cost of raw materials and the demand for more durable "sins" will drive the automotive industry to offer innovative alternatives to sheet metal and aluminum. Other innovations are very likely in areas like glass technology, using new molding techniques and E.L. shading, and in wheel/tire systems, which are well on their way with run-flat, tire monitoring and integrated wheel/tire designs like we used on the Actic and Bevel concept.

So it's a current Infiniti...that has been put in a wind tunnel for too long.

I like Nissan design. Clean, cool, and sleek. Even the interior of the new Altima is impressive.

silver,
Nice. I wouldn't say it looks like the RL, but it definitely makes you think of the RL.

It's always difficult to improve on a design that is already nice. The current G35 Coupe design is really a work of art that pleases nearly everyone out there and even the critics. I kind of see the coupe concept revealed at the North American Auto Show and the artist sketch here as a step backward. While the G35 competed well against the e46/e90 BMWs, Im not so sure this future G can compete with the e92s.

you should be shot, stabbed, burnt, slapped and spit upon for that comment. The car looks absolutely nothing like the Tiburon. No car looks like the Tiburon. Stop smoking crack. It's obviously rotting your braincells.
