If it is, it is definitely one of the best I've ever seen... Just look at the reflections in the windows and on the paint job... I'm a pretty good photoshopper (though I don't use PhotoShop - Only for amateurs) But doing something like this would take at least half a day to make it that convincing!

Yeah I guess so, all the other cars on his site are.

yeah its sort of fuzzy on the outlines towards the front so it looks like it is photoshopped

I don't understand the reason for this car. It would seem better logic to bolster the A6 segment with this variant rather the dilute (and confuse) the A5 & A6 line.
I would completely understand an A6 sport back but this one has got me scratching my head.

What an incredibly beautiful design... But like others here, I don't see the point of this car... Well, I know they make it because they know they can sell it, but it is a bit pointless, just like the X6, the V5, the Passat coupe-sedan and the CLS (Which I love BTW)...

Anyway, beautiful car!

Honestly...

From this particular angle, this vehicle's shockingly comely.

As a boutique car/design statement, I firmly believe this is the best (looking) of the 'alleged' 4-door coupe/sportback breed.

We can only hope that this is a foreshadowing of the next A8 design...

I am still struggling to understand the logic behind all these new models. Can Audi (or any brand) support an A1, A3, A4 sedan and convertible, A5 coupe, A5 Sportback coupe, A6 sedan, A7 sportback coupe, A8 sedan, R1 coupe, R4 Coupe, R6 Coupe, R8 Coupe, TT, etc.? I'm sorry but it seems like there's an awful lot of overlap with this many models. The sportbacks will be competing against each other AND the sedans, the R coupes will be competing with each other and the TT and the A5. I just don't get it. I'm wondering if this model proliferation is real or just a creation of avid bloggers.

Benz can do it, why can't Audi?

JRobUSCJRobUSC - 1/28/2008 8:23:16 AM

because Benz's models don't overlap the way these do. Benz has tons of models they they are all different. Audi is coming up with new niche models that are similar. Different "size" R models, 4 door coupes, etc. are small volume vehicles that will all be competing with one another, plus the low end R's will compete with the TT and the 4 door coupes will be competing with the sedans. Even the upcoming A4 is now almost identical in size to the A6. Too much overlap, it creates model cannibalization.

I've love how there's this diminutive red Audi TT next to the Sportback - it's just totally overshadowed in looks

HyundaiHyundai - 1/27/2008 7:39:01 PM
+2 BoostDrop the Boost Up the Boost
That's funny, since the TT looks nearly identical to the "A5 Sportback" - from what we can see of the TT - besides the colour and marginally different roof line. Overshadowed? More like eclipsed since we can barely even SEE it.

This thing is soo beautiful and the design is as stunning if not more than the standard A5. I can't wait to see it in person.

Now I wonder how the A7 will look; hopefully it will look even better than this since they are going to price it higher. Audi's line up looks sexier by the day.

Exactly. This is just a photochop. I am surprised that people don't know that CWW is just a photoshopper's website.

Certainly is a pshop. There is a rumor of a 4 door A5 with a coupe/hatch roof line. Not sure if it will come out as the A7 is supposed to be that.

If it is not a Photoshop, will it be coming to the U.S.?

If VW is going to do it I can't see why Audi wouldn't. Personally I don't like the 4dr coupe concept.
