Is This A New Baby Lexus Test Mule Caught in Testing?
We all have heard the rumours that a mini Lexus/Prius was on its way.

Actually not such a bad idea if you think about it, but is THIS a Lexus test mule caught cruising the streets of Southern California?

Note the quad exhausts, custom rims, and the Lexus logo on the trunk all dead giveaways or just a want a be  wishing he had the real deal.

What do you think?

I don't think this is a test mule but rather a custom ride of someone who has too much money/time on their hands and wants to "pimp out" their Prius.

Just somebody with an extra badge, free time, and a dumb idea.

Besides, badges are never put on test mules.

Seeing as you know this, one might be inclined to think you were just starting a flame war.

A wikipedia with an unsourced Austrailian reference doesn't make your "Lurury Export United States" true.

Wow Dutchman, I dont even know how to respond to that attack. You are singlehandedly representing, in one post, everything that is wrong with this site.

First the ridiculous article. 009, you should be ashamed.

Then your crude attempt at humor, trying to call me out, when I am not even participating in the ridiculous thread. I know you think you are being funny. And I'm not offended by it. I have made it very clear and open that I love my Prius but will likely trade it in for the next Lexus hybrid. Putting my name out there for your childish pleasure is just dumb, thats all.

Next, once again, throwing out the "Luxury Export" nonsense, no matter how many times you have been shown that it is 100% wrong. You're like Rush, Hannity, Bill et al, thinking if you just repeat a lie enough times people will start accepting it as the truth. From what I have been seeing from posters today on all these Lexus articles, your strategy will work fine here.

Finally, people's idiotic responses to you. Just more childishness, but it is what I have come to expect here.

I think this one post, coupled with your assinine comment and its responses, signals the point where Autospies finally has lost any and all credibilty to me.

Not a test mule; it's just someone who had a Lexus badge and decided to be funny.
Just the other day I saw a Lexus IS350 with Toyota badges on it.

some people actually are ANTI badge whoredom.

It's a ToyExus!

Please, I have seen tons of kids with Corollas and the like change the badging, throw on rims, dark tints and call there cars Lexus'. Especially people with Camry's trying to be ES300s. It is probably one of the gayest things I have seen in awhile.

No different than the jokes who put Type R on their Cavaliers, and throw a fake side exhaust pipe on a V6 mustang.

A Camry is an ES so is an Avalon. Same sheet metal same body. For that matter so is the LX570 and the Land Cruiser so was the previous LX470 and Land Cruiser.

Dutchman,

You are 100% WRONG !!!
The sheetmetal used on a Lexus is thicker and made of higher quality then what is used on a Toyota.

in any case, Toyotas are put together more carefully than ANY euro car.

if the marketing geniuses hadn't created the lexus brand, all lexus models built to the yet HIGHER STANDARDS could've been labeled as TOYOTAS and they'd STILL BE SUPERIOR to all their competition.

lexi AND TOYOTAS last more than TWICE as long before getting the same number of problems as ANY competitor.

they ALL exhibit superior RELIABILITY as well as more robust electronics, wiring, power eqpt., etc. etc. from Yaris all the way up to LS460hL.

Wow. That's pathetic. That looks like something Titanic Boy or Jessica Alba would do: they're too much of a hippie not to drive a hybrid, but too embarrassed to be seen in a non-luxury car.

when it comes to lexus i would say IT IS THE BRAND
why you people have a negtive opinion towards lexus
my mom sold her ford escape because it has a lots of problems and gives free electrical shocks like all other american cars and bought lexus instead . you people are jelous of the japanese technology. american cars sucks and they catch fire, loses a wheel while moving without prior warning.
when i get my Liecense in 2012 i would bought a lexus for sure. even if it will be running on vegetable

I do the opposite, put Toyota badges on Lexus. It upsets ppl, no way RWD Toyota, any new Lexus i'll get, is gettin the Toyota badge.

i actually saw a photo of what seemed to be an Avalon, with the REAR tires smoking rubber!

it was probably a japan market GS from BEFORE the lexus launch in japan. it DID HAVE a toyota logo.
