Is This The 2010 Lexus ES?

One would certainly hope not, as it appears to be quite the stylistic step backwards IMO.

Front is Camry-ish, but the rest looks like the current ES. Is 2010 a redesign or refresh ?

It's actually not bad for the what the car is intended to be, much better than other recent Toyota designs.

Looks more Toyota than Lexus as of late.

Lexus seems to be heading towards more cutting edge designs with sharper lines as opposed to this swoopy version.

either this is an ES hybrid prototype, or more likely, it is the HS250h sedan

1. I always am skeptical on pics that are blurry or masked... usually I question their authenticity.

2. People need to get it out of their heads that the ES needs to be a RWD vehicle. They have that already, it's called a GS. The ES is a family sedan, it is meant to be quiet, smooth, easy to drive, and not with a bunch of stuff you are not going to use. With all the stresses families have, their car should not have to be one of them. The ES was never meant to be a performance vehicle, it was never meant to compete against the E-Class or 5-Series, it is just a midsize, spacious, and fully functional family sedan.

3. The refresh next year will probably minimal. More chrome, new tail lights, different wheel design, maybe a new color, drop an old color (Aquamarine - fingers crossed), nothing drastic. They probably won't even put in the new 6th Gen Navi until 2011.

Lexus is very predictable, so I wouldn't expect anything drastic.

I think it does look like the MMC for the Camry as it looks very similar to the MMC for the Avalon.

I would think that the next ES would have the LS little torpedo lights inside the headlight cluster just like the the new RX. I beleive Lexus is putting those types of lights in all their new models.

I think what we are seeing here is Lexus making their move in the interest of consumers worldwide. They listen to buyers and if it means they will profit from changing the ES350,to a degree,so be it. Make no mistake about it...the ES350 has some serious potenial if you change that one major thing.
