That front end of this Mercedes rendering would look nice as a 'refresh' for the Saturn Aura. Look at this car along with the Aura and tell me you don't agree LOL!

The grille was the first thing that brought Saturn to mind for me by the way.

I don't like these new lights that stretch half way into the car's body.

No. What a bad photoshop. Still some people will claim it is mercedes engineering just to put down the brand.

if you are young don't buy sl. how can you spend close to 100k on a car that pretends to be a sports car with 2 seats and peanut head lights, not to mention auto transmission car geared toward women. go for 911 or cayman s with manual shift.

You're an idiot.

The SL is "sports GT" meaning it is both sporty and luxurious. It's handling is safe and it is also comfortable. The perfect sporty touring GT.

Just because it doesn't come with a manual doesn't mean it's not sporty. There are plenty of cars out there that are sporty and not available with a manual transmission. Maserati Quattroporte, Jaguar XK8/XKR, Aston Martin Vanquish and many more.

Lastly, ask 10 people how they would like their SL and I will bet that 9/10 will want it with an automatic. There's simply NO MARKET for a manual transmissioned SL. The R129 SL before came with a stickshift for the SL280 and 300SL's and those didn't sell at all.

This car is worth every penny, regardless if it doesn't come with a manual. I personally couldn't care less about a manual in an SL.

Bill,

Actually the SL stands for "Sports Light" which is ironic considering the tremendous weight of the car. I agree with you on the manual issue

The car is simply hideous! I hate it 100%. I'm a merc fan and that is not what merc does. It's the worst thing i've ever seen. It's almost as bad as a KIA design. The CLS inspired front headlights does not work. It's horrific. Good thing it's just a photoshop. The SL will not look like that. If anything it will look something close to the CL/S/C-Class combined. It's already a given fact.
