Jaguar reported global sales up 63% in May to 7,061 vehicles, which offset the 6% loss to 21,149 units reported by Land Rover.

Jaguar Land Rover sold together 31,210 vehicles in May, an increase of 4% compared with the same period last month. Jaguar sales increased thanks to the launch last month of the F-Type convertible, which is the automaker’s first two-seat sports car for the past 40 years. Jaguar’s global brand director Adrian Hallmark said that half from last year’s production has already been sold and customers have begun to order now will be lucky to get their cars by the end of this year.
