Back in September 2007, Jaguar plans to extend its XF lineup were revealed. And, just as it was predicted, an insider from the carmaker’s head company, Tata, has affirmed that a range of sporty new versions forthcoming from the revived British brand.

The range is currently developing its different versions, starting with a two-door cabriolet variant of the enormously successful XF saloon.

The XF Roadster will utilize a retractable fabric roof, together with a somewhat shortened wheelbase to enhance structural stiffness, while preserving the saloon’s handsome silhouette. Heads will guarantee that there is a considerable cost differential, so that the new model doesn’t steal sales from the XK Cabriolet. As a consequence, price tags are set to begin at around the £35,000 ($51,565 or €41,390) range.
