Though the three boys from Top Gear are beloved here in the States, they actually aren't as well liked back in their homeland.

Especially if you speak to the tree huggers over there.

They're not so keen on the pro-car program that has enthusiasts screaming "POWERRRR!" and doing burnouts.

Now one of the more open-minded presenters is making an interesting move. Known for his quirky sense of style and choices in automobiles, James May is the odd one in the group. Now he's said on a radio show that he will be adding a BMW i3 to his fleet.

...“I sort of want to be part of the ‘experiment’. I don’t know what the answer is — or if a car like the i3 is the long term future of the car,” May said. “It’s not that small. It’s actually quite roomy inside. It’s almost a small people carrier.”
