One of our favorite auto shows is the Los Angeles Auto Show. Of course, this is because we're a bit selfish. SoCal is one of the major hubs of AutoSpies as 001 calls San Diego home. And, if we're honest, there's something just a bit special about the LA show that the others lack.

Typically speaking, an A-lister or two will show up and there's always an injection of Hollywood in the air. Sometimes you'll see partnerships between studios and auto builders or special car builds related to television shows — we're looking at you, Hyundai.

Overall, there's just a bit of star quality and a bit of panache that you won't find in New York or Detroit. There's good reason for this: the show is held in one of the world's car capitals, Los Angeles.
