Over the past six months or so we've been following the latest spy photographs of the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. According to the rumor mill the company was working on a more sporting version of the Evoque to be dubbed the RS and it would be good for approximately 300 horsepower.

Unfortunately, that vehicle will not see the light of day.

However, with the end of one life another begins. Land Rover has unveiled a new Evoque called the Autobiography Dynamic. This vehicle will receive a bump in power and be tuned for a more sporting ride. Power and torque is increased and should put out just over 280 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft of torque.

So, it seems this is as close as Land Rover lovers will get to an RS Evoque.

No word on if the U.S. market will get a crack at the Autobiography Dynamic.

A sportier version of Land Rover's Range Rover Evoque has been revealed. The Evoque Autobiography Dynamic gets increased power and more dynamic handling, and will go on sale in the final three months of the year.

The Dynamic is powered by an upgraded version of the existing 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine developing 281bhp, up 44bhp, and 295lb ft, an increase of 44lb ft. The engine drives via a recalibrated nine-speed ZF automatic gearbox, which Land Rover says responds more keenly to inputs than in other Evoques.
