It's the 2012 North American Truck of the Year and a hit with consumers, but U.

S. dealers say they can't keep up with demand for the Range Rover Evoque. So Land Rover is stepping up production of the compact SUV in Halewood, England.

Andy Goss, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover North America, said the United States will get about 1,000 Evoques a month starting in September, up from about 750 currently.

The Evoque went on sale in the United States last October, and there have been shortages in several markets.

"It has been tough on the network," Goss said.
