The success of this car will be due to that they kept the concept as the production car. I wish they did the same thing on the G37.

This thing will be a true monster!! The Porsche looks afraid driving behind it.

I am finally starting to think this car will be more successful wearing the Nissan badge as opposed to the Infiniti. If it were an Infiniti, critics would nit pick over interior refinement/finish, whereas the Nissan will just be a performance machine, much like the 'true' Porche.

Interestingly, if they went for lux with this car it would debut around the same time as the LF-A, giving it a direct competitor.

Any guess on the price tag? As a concept it was rumored at $75k...

No. The base model will be around $55K. I, too, would wait a year after for the 2nd generation to iron out all the problems that this complex machinery will inevitably have.

$55K!!!!! That's the best bargain I've ever seen! I even thought $70K was cheap for this kind of performance!

I read somewhere that 450 horses is unlikely for this car, expect more in the range of 400-420hp.

The styling is a perfect evolution of the old model, I like how it retains a little bit of the old models boxy looks with a modern styling.

Kind of wonder who will pay 4 times of money for a slower Lambo Gallardo or AUDIs after GT-R comes out.

Well, it's not hard. GT-R buyers are in it for the performance and the car-guy respect. I would definitely respect a GT-R buyer. The R8 is similar, but on a different scale. It's sexier and may be slightly slower, but it can still blow off a C4S- and keep up with a Turbo around a track (it's actually beaten the Turbo). The R8 is also a car-guy's car; not many people know about it and just assume the V8 Vantage is better. How wrong they are!

Lambos... are for super-rich purists. C'mon. Who would ever cross-shop a GT-R with a Turbo? If you're going to buy a Lamborghini, you're not going to consider anything else, not even a Ferrari. That's just how they are.

Actually the common census in that the car will have 3 different levels of power: 480, 500, 530hp. For its own respective models base, evo, etc... etc...

Bottom line is that if this car is priced anywhere near $55K-$60K it will be a bargain and a half...this car has more technology in the drivetrain, that a modern tank!

The 265hp Audi S3 can keep up with an Evo/STI on a track.

The S3 would be closer matched to the Mazdaspeed3.

The new Evo X, is rumored to get sub-4 second to 60 times. This car should be more inline performance wise w/ the GTR, no?

An Evo can hang with a Murcielago. Hardly fair comparisons going on here.

A normal EVO can not hang with a Murcielago.
You probably watched Top Gear where they used a 100k EVO with 420hp and semi slicks.

infunf, are you flippin serious? Did you have to go say, "fukin dhu!@#$"? Let's grow up.

What does this have to do with a sports car? When I meant history I thought everyone would think of circuit racing success, which would be more relevant to road cars. What you have there are trucks.... not cars. Also something more prestigious where other makes are competiting at the higher echelons would be better. Please do not even go into Super GT/JGTC cars.

as of 2006, nissan had won more scca runoffs than any other manufacturer.

lol, Richard, you're stinking of lameness. Why do you even have to bring up history...this has nothing to do with history. Is it your defense mechanism at work?

Man this is going to be a real monster, this car is going to meet performance expectations and Nissan's Attesa-AWD system is among the most advanced in the world and likely to be more user-friendly than a 2WD.

Can't wait to have it in U.A.E!
