Leaked- Offical pictures of the 2008 SAAB 9-3
I think it is a logical progression of the 9-3, now with a more SAAB-esque front-end with the addition of clam shell bonnet and more edgy lines. The rest of the car remains relatively unchanged, save for appropriated Cadillac BLS door handles, which look fine but are hardly original.

The real surprise will be when the interior is unveiled, a typical 9-3 weak spot in terms of quality, so lets hope the new one steps up.

Speculation about a 9-3 variant with 320bhp+ and the newly-developed Haldex 4WD system will certainly bring SAAB back into the performance arena.

The bumpers look like the Ford Focus ST. Other than that, it looks pretty good. Atleast the headlights arent hideous.

You know guys I thought this car would turned out a lot uglier than the current design but it really isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I think Saabs are under-rated just like Volvo.

I wish Volvo could buy Saab and infuse some real swedishness back into them. GM's done them in. Just look at the 9-7.....if you buy that, I've got some swamp land to sell ya.

SAABs grille (like many other marques) defines it and while it could be improved, probably will not change much if SAAB wants to maintain it's brand identity.

Look at the 'head on' pic

Place your hand over the grille.

Imagine a split kidney grille there.

(I see a 5er, esp. with Saabs new 'eyebrows'. They look like LED brows)

It looks good, and it does remind me of the 5 series.
Heres a question: How about redesigning both the 9-3 and 9-5?

There was a "9-3 Convertible caught" article a few days back, and YES, it has a soft top!

Wow looks great. Saab will finally be getting on track if GM treats em right. These facelifts are just temporary until the new ones debut.

For the first time it actually looks mean. I would by one if they wouldn't break down before you drive out of the dealer lot.

Then you can buy one because they don't break down before you drive it out of the dealer lot.
They're very reliable cars and the best FWD cars out there. But they'd be even better with RWD.

Sounds like you've owned either an Audi/VW, MB, Jag or Rover. Which one is it? C'mon tell us.
