ZAP announced yesterday that it is now offering a plug-in hybrid conversion kit for the Toyota Prius and Ford Escape hybrid.
The kit was developed in collaboration with Hybrid Plus, a privately held corporation that converts hybrid-electric cars into plug-in electrifying vehicles.
Tests on both cars show 120mpg in the city and 90mpg on the highway. The converted PHEVs can recharge at a normalHybrid vehicles retrofitted with systems from Hybrids Plus.
