The "main event" of this past Saturday 9 June's auto racing weekend at New York's storied Watkins Glen racetrack was the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, featuring the Grand Am Rolex Series Daytona Prototypes.

Lexus is the only manufacturer in Daytona Prototype competition to win each of the three endurance races on the schedule – at Daytona, Watkins Glen and Miller Motorsports Park in Utah. Lexus-powered cars have won the last two Grand-Am endurance events and three of the last four with Chip Ganassi Racing winning both the 2006 and 2007 Rolex 24’s at Daytona, and Michael Shank Racing winning last year’s 9-hour event in Utah. In addition to the two Daytona victories, Ganassi also won the 2004 Six Hours at The Glen.
