Owners of 215,000 Lexus vehicles should expect a letter from Toyota instructing them to take their cars in to the dealer for repairs to the fuel system to prevent gas leaks.

The company issued a recall after finding corroding fuel pipes in some of its cars. Recall work is free of charge.

The fuel pipes in the Lexus GS300, GS350, IS250, IS350, and LS460 from the 2006-2008 model years react poorly to "some ethanol fuels with low moisture content," the company said, possibly letting gasoline leak from the pipe, Toyota said.
