Lexus To Base Performance Coupe Off Of LF-CC Show Car

With the launch of the IS F in 2007, Lexus took ambitious aim at the BMW M3 when it launched the IS F in 2007.

But while the M3 has been made available in coupe, convertible and sedan body-styles (we've even seen wagon and pickup versions), the IS F has been a strictly four-door affair. That could change, however, with the next generation. Speaking with marketing chief Brian Bolain at SEMA last week, AutoGuide reports that Lexus is keen to build a coupe version of the next IS, including a performance-oriented IS F coupe.
