Seems like Cadillac’s CTS-V is ready to take on BMW’s M5 in high-performance driving.

In a recent interview with CARandDRIVER, Lutz said the next-generation Cadillac CTS-V is “flat-out incredible. I’ve never driven anything like that.” He went on to say that the CTS-V “will be at a power level only described as unexpectedly high.”

So what does that mean? Well that means the next Cadillac CTS-V will most likely push 500 horsepower, which is a 100 horsepower increase from the current model. Lutz seems very confident that the next CTS-V will give its rivals some really strong competiton. The car will make its debut in 2008 as a 2009 model.

The current Cadillac CTS-V (pictured) is powered by a 6.0 liter V8 engine that produces 400 horsepower.
