Luxury Institute Survey: Wealthy Consumers Rate Cadillac, Lexus and Acura the Luxury Auto Brands That Deliver the Best Customer Experience in 2007

I'm happy to hear this, I haven't had any experience with any of the other brands, but I love my CTS and I enjoy driving it. The Dealer has always been very helpful and they've gone above and beyond what they need to whenever I taken the car into the shop for maintenance. So overall Cadillac's made me a very happy customer.

I beg to differ. I love Lexus as a brand but my experience at the Putnam (Redwood City, CA) dealership was less than stellar. I know this is not indicative of the dealerships nationwide, but this seriously discouraged me from getting the IS at that location. Upon entering, my co-worker and I were given blank stares from the agents. None of them bothered to greet us as we looked at models for about 20 minutes in their showroom. I'm not sure if it was because my co-worker and I are younger (27) than their normal clientele.We got fed-up and went right next door to Infiniti, who greeted us immediately and offered us beverages. I'm still getting thank you notes from our agent (Forest I think was his name) Guess what, my co-worker is getting the g-35 coupe and and I the sedan. Like I said, I really love lexus, but customer service goes a long way. Anyway, I'll get off my soapbox now.

If I was in the market for an expensive vehicle, I wouldn't need any survey to tell me which one to get.

I wasn't surprised about Lexus or Cadillac (both frequently win different varieties of JD Power satisfaction awards), but Acura? I owned two Acuras (a '91 Vigor and a '95 TL), and my wife had an '87 Integra when we got married. They were fine cars (I was disappointed with the bland TL), but the dealer experience wasn't anything special. It especially pales in comparison with our current Audi and Lexus dealers.

As much good as I hear about the Lexus dealers, ours isn't top-notch in customer service, either. No need to sweat, Lexus- I don't fill out JD Power surveys.

Its simple, consumers already have preexisting low expectations about these brands. Hence they get suprised when they finally own one and report their satisfaction.
