So now that MINI has released the MINI Clubman, we have a wagon MINI, a regular MINI and a convertible MINI.

But now, based on what sources are telling Motoring File, it seems like BMW is already working on the next MINI variant; and it could be a little surprising as to what it might be.

If it ever came out it wouldn't be that ugly, but wouldn't it be way too close to the 1 Series?

How about producing an M version of the current R56 Mini Cooper S? Maybe with a 1.8 liter engine and bigger turbo with about 225hp?

Splendid idea. My only concern is that such a light car with that much power might have torquesteer issues. If the bimmer boys can solve that problem, more power to them.

The current Mini hatchback is plenty small as it is. They might be able to make cars smaller than the current Mini, but unfortunately they can't make people smaller!

I'm 6'4" tall and long-waisted to boot, yet I have no trouble at all fitting into the front seat of the Mini (without sunroof, of course). Big guys of the world unite - don't take the world's fastest go-cart away from us!
