MINI Cooper Clone Made In China!
Here we go again; the list with Chinese knockoffs has been enhanced with the addition of a MINI clone made by a carmaker called Lifan. The Lifan 3-Series (how ironic…) was introduced to the Chinese media today, and according to the translation we made from the clonemaker’s official site, the MINI(cat) will go on sale in China during the first half of the year... You Can't Be Serious?

Additionally: The only thing WEAK here is your constant quest to post the most inane/unlearned dribble (probably from a hole worn in Your DroopySakk...) that you can possible concoct.

End Of Story!

what kind of message is china really trying to establish. lack of ideas really can't be where they're at right now. It seems like a plain careless attitude to me. somewhat ballsy yet somewhat innapt.

I certainly wouldn't go that far, but...

I'd love to have a few minutes in a boxing ring with each member of the team that approved this nonsense.

Having done business in China, I have developed nothing but disdain for their dishonesty and lack of any business ethics.

The biggest problem is the hubris they constantly demonstrate (copying designs, stealing intellectual property, etc) and then become extremely offended when confronted....sad, but truly endemic and a part of their culture.

I personally am an Indian born there raised in Canada and I too am shocked at the state of the country everything is corrupt there. My aunts husband just past away recently and while they were burying him the house was robbed at gunpoint. There are almost no ethics left in that country I can't imagine India or china ever becoming super powers they are way too corrupt.

Icon, you are so correct, an I believe you truly have to do business with these people to fully understand what you are talking about, Just as you said, no ethics, no conscience, no rules etc.. Even the nicest most innocent person, even nice young females will be after everything they can get from you (in business not anything personal). It is amazing how brazen and unethical they can be.

I do not understand people that like knock offs. Literally taking a companies design which cost millions to billions to design and engineer only to have a Chinese company pull it apart and build copies. Thus selling for much less because there was no development costs and under cut the Real make.

This is BS. Imagine if they did this with Porsche, Audi or other makes. Could happen...

I didn't think it would be anyway posible to make a car uglier looking than a mini but Chinese have made it even slightly uglier..but perhaps it'll be at least as unreliable also..

It doesn't take much adjusting to make the good looking Mini look terrible. IMO, the Chinese are making progress though as it isn't a rip off of another SUV/CUV.

We should really stop the bickering with the design copying between Benz, BMW, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, etc. because the Chinese have taken copying to a whole new level. If they made their own cars, that's one thing, and even if they licensed designs, that'd be cool, but this! This is just disgusting and needs to stop. I'm sure as car guys, you all have some influence over your family and friends regarding car purchases. I, for one, will make for damn sure no one I know buys a car from a Chinese car company that has undertaken complete design stealing, which is pretty much every single Chinese car company.
