Maserati GranTurismo Official Photo Is Revealed

In terms of engines, there is still talk of various V-8s, but the chief candidate seems to be a significantly updated version of the Ferrari-Maserati 4.

2-liter V-8. Local chatter puts capacity at 4.5 liters—that will reportedly be good for upward of 500 horsepower. This is the engine that will in turn be shared with the apparently forthcoming costly Alfa Romeo super-GTs, which will be back on North American soil by 2009 or so.

It looks fake because the artist dubbed in a shadow on a cloudy day and the shadow appears only on the ground at the front of the car.

They have a Gran Turismo in Grand Central Station in NYC on display, along with a quattrpporte. Both dark blue and both beautiful.

why woudl anyone consider a 7-series/S-class/a8/LS when they could drive the quattroporte from Maserati.

Maserati has one of the most impressive line-ups i've ever seen, truly magnificent vehicles.

Aston Martin is not to far behind either

I bought one of the raffel tickets. Figured why not take a chance. These two are definetly on my list along with a CL and a completely loaded A8L. Only problem I can see with the Maserati GT is it's availability. Can't wait a year. I'm ordering in Dec. and would like to have European delivery scheduled for March-April. The Audi might seem to be an odd choice but it's the car I'm replacing and it has been incredible. I can get an A8L completely loaded with B&O sound system and exclusive interior package and come in about $10-20,000 thousand less than the competiton. That wont be the deciding factor but even when you can afford it, it's a consideration.

What about the S8, loaded? It actually wouldn't be much more than the A8L, because it's already standard with so much.

Do you need the extra rear seat space or something?

Thought about it.I just don't need the extra hp. They have an incredible S8 at the Audi forum in NY however. The audi exclusive interior is amazing.

I guess you're right... but as long as you're looking at the GT and CL550, it would only make sense to drive the sportier A8. I'm guessing you already have driven it.

If we want a big sedan for taking friends out (my wife is probably getting an X5 4.8i), I will give the S8 a good drive... and I know I can get a great deal if I find any used examples. I may just not be willing to spend $100K on my "second" car.
