The Mazda MX-5 GT was such a hit when it was shown in concept form at last year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed that you can now buy one for yourself.
It will be sold not as an official Mazda UK product, but Jota – the team that prepares Mazda’s racing cars – will upgrade the standard Mazda MX-5 for you, boosting power to 203bhp.
Homologating the MX-5 GT for the road would take too long, so buyers can only buy the kit as a modification after registering their standard roadster. JOTA has tweaked the ECU and fitted a sports exhaust so power from the 2.0-litre engine increases from 157bhp in the regular MX-5. It’s also uprated the suspension, and modified the styling to resemble the Goodwood car. Read Article
